Chitwan National Park is located 160 km SW from Kathmandu in the subtropical lowlands of Terai.

One of the last wild resorts for the Bengal tiger, the very special gharial crocodile, also marsh magar crocodile, and the Gangetic dolphin, which is almost die out.
